We can also provide mediation services for families who are experiencing conflict with inter-generational relationships such as grandparent access issues.

Comprehensive Family Mediation

Evans Mediation & Arbitration are partnering with Facilitated Solutions to provide comprehensive family mediation services to families.

Comprehensive family mediation services provides the emotional support, the structured dialogue and the legal information you need to make good decisions for your family. Two mediators, one lawyer mediator and one family mediator, will assist you and your partner to develop a parenting plan for your children, help you to determine your family’s financial needs, and help you to divide your property. Once you have agreement, your decisions will be formalized in a separation agreement.

Comprehensive family mediation allows families to control the decision-making process to craft agreements that meet your family’s needs.

Arbitration Services

Evans Mediation & Arbitration offers arbitration services for families who need a third party to make decisions for them. The arbitrator hears the case as presented by the parties and makes a decision or award in the same way that a Judge would in a Court proceeding. Arbitration decisions are binding upon the parties and can be enforced like a Court Order or a Judgment.

Arbitration is a good option for families who cannot come to a decision or have a specific issue that they need to resolve.  Arbitration also allows families to keep their disputes private or to have a decision made more quickly than what might be available to them through the traditional Court processes. Arbitration can also allow more flexibility than traditional Court processes.

Med-Arb

Evans Mediation & Arbitration also offers Med-Arb services which combines the benefits of mediation and arbitration. Families first attempt to reach agreement with the assistance of a mediator. If they are unable to reach agreement using that process, the mediator switches roles and becomes the arbitrator and, following an agreed upon arbitration process, issues a decision that is binding upon the parties.
